Two useful MIRC scripts: Welcoming script and highlight recorder

Using the twitch chat to keep in touch with your viewers can be very important. A warm welcome for everyone that joins your chat is pretty easy to script for Mirc. Just add the following lines of code to your Script Editors Remote section (Tools -> Script editor or ALT+R).

on 1:JOIN:#thehempsociety: {
    if ($nick != $me) {
        /msg $chan Welcome $nick to our Stream chat! Please behave and feel free to ask Questions
    }
}

Another very Important thing can be responding to highlights of your nickname. In this case we “record” all Highlights in a new Window, this script is also added to the Remote scripts section of Mirc.

on *:TEXT:*:#:{
    if ($me isin $1-) {
        /window -b @Highlights
        echo @Highlights $asctime(h:nn:ss tt) : $nick 12// $network 12// $chan 12// Message 4,1: $+ $1-
    }
}
on *:ACTION:*:#:{
    if ($me isin $1-) {
        /window -b @Highlights
        echo @Highlights $asctime(h:nn:ss tt) : $nick 12// $network 12// $chan 12// Message 4,1: $+ $1-
    }
}

The second part also records highlights in action events. Many of you should know the famous IRC slap. This scripts should also be easily translated to similar IRC clients.
